Vermont Irregular Slate Flagstone–
Ideal for Patios, Walkways or Stepping Stones

Typical installations are over sand and aggregate or concrete, but due to its resistance to acid, slate may be layed directly on soil. Indoor installations are possible over a medium bed-type mortar application.

Valley Run Grade

3/4" to 1" Thick

With a more irregular shape, saw cut on zero to two sides, this is our most economical grade and provides a more rustic look with a more random pattern.

Quarry Run Grade

3/4" to 1" Thick or
3/8" to 1/2" Thick

Parallel saw-cuts across the grain provide this slate with a more rectangular and uniform shape, which is sculpted along the grain at 12” to 14”, with square edges and uniform thickness.
